Day 1

Old Town

Corfu

  1. 1

    Old Town of Corfu

Dense historic town shaped by Venetian fortifications, arcaded streets, British-era buildings and Ionian cultural life. Corfu's strategic position kept it under Venetian rule for centuries while much of Greece was Ottoman. French and British administrations followed before union with Greece in 1864, leaving a layered urban landscape inside formidable fortifications. The visit is strongest when you focus on old fortress, liston and spianada and campiello lanes.

Day 2

Achilleion and Paleokastritsa

Corfu

  1. 1

    Achilleion Palace

Neoclassical palace and gardens built for Empress Elisabeth of Austria, decorated around the mythology of Achilles. The palace was commissioned in the late nineteenth century by Empress Elisabeth of Austria. It later belonged to German Kaiser Wilhelm II and served varied functions through war and political change before becoming a major Corfu visitor site. The visit is strongest when you focus on achilles statues, terraced gardens and sea views.

  2. 2

    Paleokastritsa Monastery and Coast

Monastery above a deeply indented Corfu coast of wooded headlands, small beaches and clear bays. The monastery of the Virgin at Paleokastritsa has medieval origins, though much of the present complex reflects later rebuilding. The surrounding bays became one of Corfu's best-known coastal destinations as road access and tourism expanded. The visit is strongest when you focus on hilltop monastery, bay viewpoints and small beaches and boat trips.

Day 3

Porto Katsiki

Lefkada

  1. 1

    Porto Katsiki

Dramatic Lefkada beach beneath bright limestone cliffs on the island's exposed southwest coast. The remote cove was historically difficult to reach and its name refers to goats. Road access later made it a major beach destination, but earthquakes, cliff falls and rough seas remain part of the natural conditions of the coast. The visit is strongest when you focus on cliff-top views, white beach and blue water and southwest lefkada scenery.

Day 4

Melissani Cave

Kefalonia

  1. 1

    Melissani Cave

Sunlit underground lake on Kefalonia, crossed by small visitor boats beneath a partially collapsed cave roof. The cave is part of Kefalonia's karst system, where groundwater moves through the island's limestone. Archaeological finds indicate ancient ritual use, while the opening of the roof created the dramatic shaft of daylight seen today. The visit is strongest when you focus on underground lake, roof opening and blue water and short boat circuit.

Day 5

Myrtos Beach

Kefalonia

  1. 1

    Myrtos Beach

Broad white-pebble beach below steep Kefalonian cliffs, admired both from the shore and roadside viewpoints. Myrtos is a natural coastal landform shaped by the island's limestone geology and wave action. Improved road access turned it into one of Kefalonia's defining landscapes, though sea conditions can be rough and facilities vary seasonally. The visit is strongest when you focus on high roadside viewpoint, white pebble shore and turquoise ionian water.

Day 6

Navagio Viewpoint

Zakynthos

  1. 1

    Navagio Viewpoint

Clifftop viewpoint over Zakynthos's famous Shipwreck Beach, where a wreck lies on a pale cove enclosed by limestone cliffs. The cove became internationally known after the freight ship Panagiotis was wrecked there in 1980. Cliff instability and access restrictions have changed how the site can be visited, making current safety instructions essential. The visit is strongest when you focus on high cliff view over the cove, shipwreck below and ionian limestone coast.
