Why visit
Golden Beach shows the scale and relative openness of the Karpas coast better than a short urban beach could. Sand, dunes and scrub extend across a broad landscape with few visual interruptions, making the setting itself the main attraction. Conservation rules and seasonal conditions should be followed carefully because the coast includes sensitive habitats. The stop works especially well when placed beside nearby sites from the same region, because the contrast in landscape, architecture or historical period makes the wider character of Cyprus easier to understand.
