Why visit
A small Gothic cemetery chapel whose lower level is arranged with the bones of tens of thousands of people. The chapel forms part of the Sedlec monastic landscape near Kutná Hora; its famous bone decoration developed from an overcrowded medieval cemetery and was reshaped in the nineteenth century. It is included because it adds a distinctive experience to a realistic Kutná Hora or regional itinerary rather than acting as a filler stop.
