Why visit

A futuristic mountaintop television tower and hotel whose tapered form has become the symbol of Liberec. Designed by architect Karel Hubáček and completed in the 1970s, Ještěd merges a communications tower with hospitality spaces in a form shaped for severe mountain winds. It is included because it adds a distinctive experience to a realistic Liberec or regional itinerary rather than acting as a filler stop.

What you will see

  • Iconic modernist silhouette.
  • Wide regional views.
  • Mountaintop architecture.
