Why visit
Prehistoric cave near Meteora with evidence spanning from the Middle Palaeolithic into the Neolithic period. Excavations revealed exceptionally long human use, including hearths, tools, burials and environmental evidence. A stone wall near the entrance has been interpreted as an Ice Age construction, while a nearby interpretation centre presents the findings.
