Why visit

It adds a relaxed seaside contrast to Gdańsk’s museums and is easy to combine with the wider Tricity by rail.

History

Sopot developed as a Baltic resort in the nineteenth century. The first small pier was built in 1827 and was enlarged repeatedly as the resort grew.
