Why visit
Store Mosse National Park is worth time for a large-scale wetland landscape in southern Sweden, where boardwalks give practical access to open bog habitats that would otherwise be difficult to experience closely. Key elements include raised bog and broad open mire, boardwalk trails and birdwatching areas, and naturum interpretation of wetland ecology. Together these features place the destination within the wider story of Småland and Öland. Attention to layout, materials, landscape and surviving details helps explain how the place has developed, functioned or been understood over time. It has enough substance for a focused visit and also connects naturally with a broader regional itinerary.
