Why visit
Dubno Castle is significant within Volyn & Polissia because it is a fortified noble residence above the Ikva River with bastions, gates and palace buildings. The main points of interest are gate complex, bastions, and palace buildings overlooking the river. Together, these features help place the site within the wider history and landscape of Dubno and its region, rather than reducing it to a single photograph. Its cultural value remains relevant for future regional planning, while any actual journey must be considered separately against current wartime access, security conditions and official travel advice.
